Illustrators I love: Kate Pugsley
Today I want you to meet one of my favorite modern artists: Kate Pugsley. I think her work is amazing and she inspires me and my catches, just like Oamul does. Based in Chicago, USA, Kate works as a freelance illustrator for big clients like The New York Times, Penguin Random House or clothing brands like Everlane, but she also has her own personal projects where her creativity can run free.
Her imaginary is just beautiful and both me and my crew can't get enough of her art!
I discovered her work a long time ago and remember feeling that special "ah" pinch that only happens once in a while —she sparked me joy, indeed!
Since that moment, every time one of her illustrations pops in my Instagram feed I inmediately get huge heart eyes, I can't help it!
Her work involves women and nature, abstract shapes and city scenes, wild animals and children playing, and her color choices are just wonderful: dusty blues, peachy pinks, bold yellows... what's not to love?
If you also think her illustrations are dreamy you can learn more about her creative process in this great interview, check her website to be updated, her Instagram account for daily inspiration and, of course, her online shop to get yourself some of her precious pieces of art.
